WPL 2024: Women bikers make Royal entry into Chinnaswamy to support RCB

The support came in handy as Smriti Mandhana was welcomed at the toss with ear-numbing applause.

Does the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have the coolest cricket fanbase? Ahead of their first Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 match, women bikers decided to make a royal entry into the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to support their home side.

One can argue that the RCB fanbase might be the best in all of the Indian sporting community, with the immense love they show towards both the men’s and women’s teams.

Their presence was felt immediately, as skipper Smriti Mandhana received ear-numbing applause when she took the field for the toss. Their support also seemed to have lifted Misha Ghosh, as the swashbuckling wicketkeeper batter went berserk in Chinnaswamy.

The 20-year-old smoked a 31-ball fifty and hit 12 fours on her way to a quickfire 62 off just 37 balls. Her knock, along with Sabbhineni Meghana’s well-made fifty, took the Royals past the 150-run mark and ensured they were alive in the match.
