MS Dhoni’s IPL captaincy earns praise from ex-cricketers
Manjrekar notes that the highlight for him was Dhoni knowing how much his batting had to offer. He applauds the CSK skipper for batting down the order consistently. He hails Dhoni’s captaincy as ‘sharp and old schooled in a modern world.’
Former India bowler S Sreesanth opines that the influence of Dhoni on CSK’s youngsters is the biggest talking point. He feels that any individual would love to have Dhoni next to him. He cites the case of Shivam Dube to supplement his argument.
Simon Doull calls Dhoni a ‘genuine leader’, noting that he never lets a situation overhaul him. He believes that MSD’s ability to control the game is something which will have a lasting impact on CSK and Team India.

CSK are eyeing a record 6th trophy in IPL 2024. The Men in Yellow will eye to replicate their IPL 2023 heroics. With speculations over skipper MS Dhoni’s retirement unending, it would be a fitting tribute if the team clinches the trophy yet again.
