You meet me alone: Babar Azam jokingly ‘threatens’ Rizwan at PSL Trophy unveiling

Babar and Rizwan have a great friendship and have been opening together for Pakistan in T20I cricket for the last couple of years with great success.

Instances of banter between cricketers on and off the field are quite common, and we have often heard teammates taking the mickey out of each other. However, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan might have taken it to a whole new level. At the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 Trophy unveiling, the two friends engaged in a hilarious conversation that left everyone laughing.

The former Pakistan captain Babar Azam was asked by his teammate and good friend Mohammad Rizwan, “Apki Shadi kab ho rahi ha? (When are you getting married)”.

To this unprompted question, Babar quickly retorted, “tu mjhy akely ma mil phrr btau ga (you meet me alone, I’ll tell you). The current Peshawar Zalmi skipper jokingly threatened his teammate while shying away from giving an answer.

Talking about the PSL, the league will start on February 17, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars facing Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium. The Final of the 2024 edition will be played on March 18 at the National Stadium in Karachi.
