Identified as a promising talent from an early age, Pat Cummins made his Test debut at 18 but faced a six-year hiatus due to persistent injuries. However, upon his return in 2017, he transformed into a formidable fast bowler, eventually assuming the role of Australia’s Test captain in late 2021 under dramatic circumstances.

Cummins burst onto the international scene with a stellar Test debut, claiming seven wickets and helping secure a crucial victory against South Africa. Domestic career 

Making his debut for New South Wales during the 2010-11 season, Cummins quickly caught the eye with his raw pace and talent. His maiden Big Bash season further cemented his reputation as a rising star in Australian cricket. However, his progress was repeatedly hampered by stress fractures in his lower back, leading to a six-year absence from Test cricket. Despite these challenges, Cummins’ determination and hard work paid off when he returned to domestic cricket in 2017, showcasing newfound resilience and maturity. Pat Cummins’ journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been characterised by highs and lows, reflecting his resilience and adaptability. In 2014, Cummins was initially selected by KKR. He also returned to the KKR team after a spell with Delhi, making him the second-most expensive acquisition in IPL history (RS 15.5 crores). Pat Cummins, an Australian all-rounder and one of the most talented fast bowlers globally, was recognized for his potential from an early age. Making his Test debut at just 18 years old, he impressed with a seven-wicket haul against South Africa in 2011. Unfortunately, injuries sidelined him for several years before his comeback to the national team during the 2017 India tour. Despite his efforts, Australia couldn’t clinch the series. Cummins’ consistent performances led to him becoming the top-ranked Test bowler in 2018, earning him the prestigious Allan Border Medal for the 2018-19 season. He also achieved several milestones, including becoming the seventh youngest player to claim a five-wicket haul in Tests and the tenth fastest bowler to reach 150 Test wickets. Pat Cummins was born in Westmead, New South Wales, in 1993. Pat’s mother is Maria Cummins, and his father is Peter Cummins. In addition, Cummins has four siblings: Tim and Mat Cummins are his brothers, and Laura and Kara are his sisters.

In August of last year, Pat tied the knot with his lifelong love, Becky Boston. Before getting married, the two of them dated for six years. Albie Boston Cummins, their first child, was welcomed by the couple in 2021.
