Cristiano Ronaldo faces harsh criticism after obscene gesturing towards Al-Shabab fans for chanting Messi's name

Cristiano Ronaldo has engaged himself in controversy yet again. The Portuguese star faced barrages of criticism after making obscene gesture following Al-Nassr’s 3-2 win against Al-Shabab. A rude gesture targeted towards the rival fans has apparently put Ronaldo in hot waters.

Enraged with Al-Shabab fans chanting Messi’s name, Ronaldo pumped his hand in front of pubic area. This vile gesture towards the fans have not been taken well. While neither Ronaldo nor his club Al-Nassr has been charged but an investigation has been opened.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the account for his side by scoring from the spot in the 21st minute of the game. Al-Shabab cameback hard and ultimately Talisca had to score a brace to guide Al-Nassr to a 3-2 victory.

Ronaldo was left frustrated when the rival supporters continued to chant Lionel Messi’s name. “The disciplinary committee is facing the biggest test. We will wait and see. Everything has its limits, no matter how famous you are. This is how the major leagues are” Waleed Al Farraj, a prominent Saudi writer and television host, said on X.

Earlier in February, Ronaldo embryoid in another controversy. During the Riyadh Season Cup final loss, he picked up an Al Hilal scarf, only to put it in his shorts before throwing it away.
